On leaping

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost two years.

Throughout my career, there’s been a constant thread calling me forward — designing connections where people and purpose meet.

While I thought I’d fill pages with witty insights and deep wisdom, this season has reminded me that listening more and saying less can be powerful. As a lifelong learner, I’ve found so much joy in creating spaces that foster understanding, uncover patterns in human behavior, and spark meaningful action. Working with people who share that drive? Pure gold.

Entrepreneurial life has been a whirlwind of projects, learning, and new credentials. As I take a moment to look back, a few things stand out — reminders that the leap was worth it and the adventure ahead is bright:

• Notes of encouragement from unexpected champions

• The steady support of my spouse through big shifts

• My 12-year-old offering his Canva skills for a presentation

• My 8-year-old’s habit of leaving uplifting notes everywhere

• Random fist bumps from my 10-year-old asking about my meetings

• The “team” of collaborators who support one another and build collective momentum

You might be wondering… so what exactly am I doing? Here’s a snapshot:

  • Coaching individuals navigating career transitions or bold new opportunities

  • Managing initiatives like KC TechBridge and planning experiences such as the KC Global Design Educator Tour

  • Co-launching Talent Reimagined to make the skills-first workforce both practical and actionable

  • Co-founding Future Pathway, keeping people connections at the heart of all people work

  • Providing ad-hoc stakeholder analysis, program design, and strategy refreshes

I’m looking forward to sharing more. Let’s stay curious and connected.
